Shoot the breeze

If you are looking for the perfect place to laze away a day on the beach , then Mistral fits the bill. It’s well established and well-liked by both visitors and locals, and one of the best reasons to visit Mistral is the food, and lunch on the beach is something that we in Marbella do very well!

It’s impossible to sit down at a table on the sand at Mistral and not get into the relaxed vibe that everybody else is enjoying. Mistral really is a great place to kick back and chill out, look at the Med and soak up a little beach culture at its finest.

Mistral has a selection of salads as you would expect, and starters included classics such as the Melon and Palma Ham and Bresola, Rucula and Parmisan shavings as well as a spicy Gambas Pil Pil, Boqureones Fritos and Fritura de Puntillitas (fried baby squid). If you are feeling more carnivorous, then Mistral Beach also has an impressive range of meat dishes including steaks and churrasco (Brazilian style bbq). Mistral is also well known for its paellas and as well as the huge mixed seafood platters. Be warned though, they are big!

We decided on fresh Marbella prawns and a selection of salads which hit the spot, although we also undid the healthy living bit by ordering a couple of side orders of chips. We weren’t in the mood for booze so ordered a couple of virgin cocktails – a Long Beach (Melon, Pineapple, Mint and Mineral Water) and a Cynthia – watermelon and raspberry – and named after Mistral’s (and possibly Marbella’s) most bubbly waitress

If you are looking for a beach club to get away from the stresses of summer in Marbella, take our advice and shoot the breeze at Mistral!
