A Traditional Addition

One of the things I miss most about England is decent fish and chips. Sunday evenings comprised of catching up on the weekend’s television, and a visit to the local fish and chip shop. When I heard the mastermind behind gourmet creation La Casita had decided to open a new venture, La Fishita, you could say I was slightly excited.

I decided to return to my English tradition and dropped by to collect a takeaway on a Sunday evening. The décor was sleek and modern, and I learnt whilst waiting and chatting to the friendly staff, it was created by John May of Quay Property Group. I perused the menu whilst waiting for my order and was delighted to learn that it extended beyond the simple fish and chips.

Freshly made pies, deluxe kebabs and an array of other English traditions were also available, I was glad I had already placed my order or I might have left with enough food to last me a week! My dinner arrived in a more sophisticated paper bag than my previous local supplied, and the contents smelt AMAZING!

I rushed home to enjoy my purchase; I can confirm the taste was as delicious as the smell (which is often the best bit!) The batter perfectly enveloped the light and flaky fish, and the chips, presented in a newspaper inspired cone, were the perfect thickness and melted in my mouth. La Fishita is a wonderful addition to Marbella gastronomic collection and I know I will be back soon. How long till Sunday?!
