Cosy and friendly atmosphere

I always love getting lost in the streets of Marbella’s Casco Antiguo. In a place where you are guaranteed to find a warm and friendly atmosphere, Casanis is definitely my top French-Bistro restaurant. It is a place for all occasions; a family dinner, a birthday party, a business meeting or a romantic date, perfect for Valentine’s Day. I fell in love with it the moment I walked into its vibrant atmosphere. It was warm and cosy and I knew I was in for a treat.

The service was excellent. I was surprised by how quickly the food appeared at our table, which was fantastic because I was starving! To top it all off, the food was delicious. We began with an appetising entrée to share, warm goat’s cheese on caramelised onion toast and a balsamic salad. It was the perfect amount to satisfy us while we waited for what was to come next. We ordered a mouth-watering Argentinian entrecôte, which was served with a perfect combination of light but creamy peppercorn sauce, fries and a small green salad with French vinaigrette. The entrecôte was superbly cooked, exactly to my liking and, regrettably, the fries were addictive. We also ordered the lamb, which came with the most amazing sautéed potatoes I have ever tasted. They came in a creamy-garlic sauce, which, undoubtedly, was a great treat for my taste buds. While the lamb was well done and slightly crispy on the outside, the inside remained juicy and tender. Topped with a minty-garlic sauce, it was exquisite.

To complete our luscious dinner date, we shared the moelleux au chocolate; a warm, toasted chocolate cake with liquid chocolate pouring from the inside. Mixed with cold vanilla ice cream and sweet raspberry syrup, the moelleux au chocolate was an endorphin-releasing dessert, perfectly proportioned after a heavy dinner.
