Puerto Banus personified

Somehow Linekers has earned a reputation as one of the bars you MUST visit in Puerto Banus. It’s fair to say that the atmosphere is eclectic once inside, and being one of the biggest and busiest bars in Puerto Banus, you’re guaranteed to have a good time. A playground for Big Brother evictees, page three models and general Z listers, this bar is perfect for large groups looking to experience Puerto Banus at its best. With affiliate franchises in Fuengirola, Benelmadena, Ibiza and Tenerife, and associations with Portside, Tibu and Premier lap dancing bar, you should know exactly what you are letting yourself in for from your visit.

Linekers occupies the south end of the second line, not far from the prestigious Louis Vuitton store. However, it couldn’t be further from the clientele of the luxurious label if it tried. Outside Linekers are numerous PRs, offering you free shots if you venture inside. The terrace is always crowded, with drinkers swaying, couples fighting and comrades holding up their intoxicated friends. And this is all before midnight! Overflowing with English tourists still in the mindset of the UK, who start the night drinking at 7pm to be wasted before the clubs shut.

Step inside Linekers and prepare to be amazed. Always bursting at the seams, it’s a struggle to even reach one of the three bars, but once there, the staff are fairly efficient, even at peak times. The drinks are averagely priced, but measures are on the smaller side compared to other bars in the port. For groups of 6 of more, Linekers offer bubbly on arrival, access to the VIP booths, who occupy the perimeter, ‘fun and games’ behind the bar (whatever that means!) and photos from your evening, all complimentary! This is where the hen and stags parties flock, as they are catered to perfectly.

We recommended wearing a pair of shoes with straps, as the textured floor is saturated with stale alcohol, the soles of your shoes will literally stick to the floor. If you want to avoid this, why not take to any one of the raised platforms, complete with a stripper pole, always occupied with someone draped in a feather boa. The music blasting out of the pounding speaker system combines current with retro music, ideal to strut your stuff on the dance floor that permeates through the entire bar.
