Good Golf, Ghost town

Dona julia was a course i used to really enjoy back in the day. I hadn’t been for about 3 years but always enjoyed the  big greens, course  layout , and  you were always  sure of a warm welcome . Big things were planned  …. 6 star hotel, practice facilities, new clubhouse , shops … The list goes on. Unfortunately the current financial climate have brought these plans to a standstill  .

What the player finds today is the same temporary club house , the same welcome and layout but the surrounding area consisting of apartments and urbanizations are all in a state of utter decay. The northerly point of the course is like playing in a ghost town sprawling part finished developments as far as the eye can see !

Apparently the course had to close for a while because of the situation but is now trying to regain its once blossoming reputation. At 25 euro including the buggy I say go give it a go but don’t expect anyone to throw any wayward hit golf balls back!
